Kristy Seaman, VP of Loan Operations, has successfully completed the 2026 Iowa School of Banking held June 7-12, 2026 at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines.
The one-week, two-year school, offered by the Iowa Bankers Association, provides a challenging, educational experience in addition to peer networking. The challenging, interactive curriculum addresses the functions of banking departments and financial management and the business of banking. Practical experience is gained through the use of a computer simulation, lectures, case studies and discussion. The school faculty includes active bankers, consultants and academicians, all recognized experts in their fields.
Seaman commented, “My experience at the Iowa School of Banking provided me with in-depth knowledge of bank management, strategic planning, and the microeconomic and macroeconomic factors affecting the banking industry. I was able to build strong networking relationships with some of the most respected professionals in the banking industry. The knowledge and experience I gained during this two-year program will benefit Farmers Trust & Savings Bank by supporting effective decision-making, fostering leadership development, and contributing to the ongoing success of the management team.”
Kristy Seaman, Vice President of Loan Operations has worked for Farmers Trust & Savings Bank for 17 years. The native of Graettinger attended college at Iowa Lakes Community College and Buena Vista University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business management and a minor in psychology. Seaman is highly active in the community including volunteering at the Branding Iron at the Clay County Fair, helping out in the nursery at Hope Church, and working with local seventh grade students teaching the importance of financial literacy. Completing the Iowa School of Banking shows her commitment to growth and excellence in the banking industry.
